"Clad in clean shades of “Core White” and “Core Black,” and donning the Fairfax, LA retailer’s signature red throughout, this collection picks up right where both brands left off after last season’s SC Premiere and Pro Model collaboration. Both aforementioned silhouettes reappear in minimalist arrangements. The SC Premiere in a triple-white arrangement interrupted by “Core Black” trefoil logos at the heel and red suede tongue tabs featuring debossed “424” text. The Pro Model, which comes in two versions, mixes heritage with the modern as it’s constructed in original, two-tone colorways and with exaggerated sole units. New to Fairfax imprint’s adidas catalog, the Superstar – Adidas Originals co-founder and head designer Guilermo Andrade’s all-time favorite sneaker.

We already know adidas has plans of sending its BOOST cushioning into outer space, but there’s something already in place a little beyond the International Space Station that should have movie fanatics going wild. As part of their seasonal collaboration with the Star Wars franchise, adidas Originals is presenting the famed Adidas stan smith amed quote of “Do or do not. There is no try.” is immortalized on the heel, while his Stan Smith-esque portrait is placed on the tongue of the slip-on sneaker.

While many of its fans eagerly await for its collaborations with Prada, Sean Wotherspoon and others, the Adidas superstar has remained busy with several fresh, inline updates. The latest may very well be dubbed the “Aqua Toe,” given its “Bold Aqua” forefoot. Profile 3-Stripes, heel patches and midsoles follow suit in the fluorescent blue. Accompanying branding, just as the pair’s full-grain leather upper, revel in a “Cloud White” arrangement synonymous with not only the Superstar, but other icons like the Stan Smith. All together, the two-tone color scheme re-energizes the 50-year-old design.

Though the event itself was postponed until next year, adidas’ “Olympic Pack” is still set to release as scheduled. Arriving throughout the rest of the Summer, the collection spans more than a number of colorful offerings including a boldly accented Adidas nmd. Obvious in its own inspiration, the pair lets its smaller details take the helm. The signature interlocking rings make a minimal appearance, as the primary yellow, blue, and red color in the Three Stripes at the side as well as the various prints found at the counter, the back profile, and the front of the Boost tooling. Elsewhere, Japanese lettering details along in typical NMD fashion, while more technical type and block text dress the midsole molds and heel pull, respectively.

Back in the mid-2010s, the Adidas ultra boost was practically standard issue for the Team Cozy movement. Perhaps with the increased WFH contingent (and sweatpant donning) of late, it’s serendipitous that the UB is here again in easy-to-wear schemes like ‘Core Black’.Echoing the simple appearance of the 2015 original, this revived version swaps out the previously plastic lace cage and heel counter for soft textile, all in the name of comfort. The Primeknit uppers have been tweaked to be reminiscent of waffle knit, but the successful BOOST midsole and Continental rubber outsole remains.
