Blizzard Announces World of Warcraft Expansion Announcement Details
Blizzard is making next week’s reveal of the next World of Warcraft expansion an event, with a streaming announcement date and time where we can all find out what’s next after Shadowlands. In an official blog post with the broadcast information, the team reflects on Shadowlands coming to a close (a topic Robin shared from her own perspective for us this week) and focus on the turning to a new chapter:
What comes next has been rumored, with some potential leaks via data mining naming the title as Dragonflight. If this is the correct name or if there’s something else waiting for us, we’ll know in under a week. If the name leak is correct, that still doesn’t take away from the details we’ll get from the official reveal. Wherever you think things in Azeroth are going next, there are sure to be some surprises.
The WoW team continues with additions and tweaks. Some that have come in the past few months include new modes, like Season of Mastery and Solo Shuffle, as well as changes making the game more accessible, and others opening up some more equity in opportunities for good gear.
