World Of Warcraft Classic: Blizzard Announces

In another post/update on the Blizzard forums, community manager Bornakk detailed the success of the first stress test, as well as what players can expect from the next one that will drop on May 29. If you’re not aware, the network stress test is a very different beast from the closed beta testing. The stress test is severely limited in terms of content, such as the first one, which was held on May 22. This first test only allowed you to level up to level 5 and placed you in a PvP realm. This was to ensure that the servers are getting the loads they need in order to ready Blizzard sufficiently for World of Warcraft Classic’s launch on August 27.
Bornakk also stated in the community post that the team has learned so much just by players attempting to log into the launcher. This is mostly due to the fact that Blizzard has announced that they will be taking some players from outside the existing closed beta pool and into the stress test itself. This news made players check into their accounts, which in turn gave Blizzard an idea of the stress the servers will go under once the game finally launches.
However, because of some issues that were encountered, Blizzard didn’t get some of the data that they need for World of Warcraft Classic, which means that the next stress test is going to be very important. This one will be available on May 29, from 5:00 p.m. EDT to 7:00 p.m. EDT. The stress test realm will be made available at that time to EVERYONE who was there for the stress test last May 22. This means that if you were part of the first one, you will need to be there for this next one as well. The stress realm test will persist until May 30 at 7:00 p.m. EDT, so everyone involved can check it out.

The level cap for stress test characters will be increased to 10 as well, so keep that in mind. Blizzard also noted that while issues will almost certainly occur, it’s important that the developers are made aware of them now during the network stress test, so that fixes can be made before the actual launch.
